Inspired by an illustration of famous Mexican master printer, Jose Guadalupe Posada (b1852 - d1913), Los Lovers Farewell has been updated with a splash of bright colors and metallics from fabric and paint.
Quite a romantic display is going on here. The original image was meant to depict a revolutionary going off to war. He is offering one last kiss to his love with the hope he won't be forgotten in death. If he triumphs in war and life, he hopes to return to her soon.
Hmmmmm....quite a breathtaking display...
