Red Tape Measure Purse

Okay, this is one of the coolest bags I've seen in awhile. Wow--innovative, and right there with the seatbelt bag (which is one of my faves).

Here's what the photographer says about this bag:

" "Measuring Up" is a purse I made from colored tape measures and a vintage tag from a pay scale. This one is my favorite color!

This piece was meant to capture the implicit beauty of typically overlooked day-to-day objects, specifically the seamstress/dieter’s tape measure. This object has long been a source of both pleasure and pain in a woman’s life. In its new form, the measuring tape creates a fully functional purse or clutch that can still be used for last minute gauging.
